This is a beautiful peice of fossil art. From what I have read this salt is 2 million years old. Wow! What a wonderful object to have for your self or give as a gift ..We have given these away as gifts and everyone says, you can always give us one of these Lamps. We have bought at least 12-14 Salt lamps from Jerry. What a Great Guy.. Wonderful to work with and the lamps are just fantastic. We love these large ones so much, we are going to give away our smaller ones to our family and buy more of these large ones. They are just Gorgeous !! You will not be sorry if you buy this larger lamp. ( or any salt lamp for that matter ~ no matter the size ) It is great for the bedroom as you only need one.. and you can sleep like a log with the soft lamp lite. Our house smells so nice and fresh now. We no longer buy those little freshners ( we experimented with all kinds of air feshners over the years. and I am sure you have too. )to feel like the house is nice and fresh for company. Now,These lamps do it for us. And walking through the house is so relaxing and pretty. It works great for you cooks that chop onions or garlic.. or any other smelly thing you might get on your hands. It even takes the smell of essential oils off your hands! And that is doing something ! Just clean your hands and dry...then place over or around the lamp and the smell is gone in about 1-2 min.. My husband has COPD.. and he has done so much better sense getting these lamps in our home.. (along with a salt inhaler.) He has not had to use the day time inhalers from the Dr. sense we got these items in our home. (So I strongly suggest these lamps and the inhaler for anyone with COPD.) and anyone else who just wants a nice fresh home live in. Wonderful...
