I believe Oreck's XL purifiers are the best at removing just about everything. When David Oreck does hissales pitch,he shows you how easy it is to rinse everything out of the truman cell with water. For me, not everything would be rinsed out. I tried soapy water to remove smoke film but that did not work.
Superclean grease disolver [on contact] works wonders. You can pick it up at walmart or automotive shops
for around $8 a gallon. Just spray it on [full strength],wait a couple mins and then rinse it off. It's like brand new!! Being that the truman cell has to be completely dry before you reinsert it, i put a fan on it
for about an hour. The price was right also!
