i bought one of these (or a very very similar model) in january and has since managed to keep up with heavy smoking , without replacing filters yet. I don't know how well it does for filtering anything else but if you're looking to reduce cigarette smell /smoke in a room, this is a good and decently priced option. It's been running almost 24/7 since it got here.
