Dyson DC07 Original Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review
Being a gadget freak, I was checking into the new Dysons--Ball, Multi-floor, etc. Some had issues with stiff, unwieldy hoses. That brings me back to the DC 07 Full Kit that my children gave me several years ago. For one, I feel the hose is quite flexible and L O N G. It has never clogged up, as one reviewer claimed. I love the long electric cord that allows for lots of vacuuming without plug changing. My first impression was that the cord wind up brackets were cheap and plasticky, but they are as sturdy today as when new. The plastic collection chamber has withstood a good bit of abuse, tapping on the edge of the garbage can with no sign of yielding. It is a bit of a hassle getting the hose out to clean edges and corners, but oh, well. We recently moved and have all new carpet in bedrooms and 4 large area rugs. WOW! Every time I vacuum, the canister fills up! If this keeps up I'll be seeing "The Floor Show" as the children's joke goes--haha. To think I paid good money for all that fuzz.Bottom line, while The Ball seems more flexible, I'm sticking with my DC 07.
